“Research in Mississippi” Program

Hone your genealogical research skills with MDAH special projects officer De’Niecechsi Layton, who will present this program for National Friends of Libraries Week. She will have advice for beginners as well as the more experienced researchers regarding relevant primary sources and techniques. African American and Native American researchers will learn about useful special sources for tracing ancestors.

Bring your lunch/coffee and water provided.

The event will take place in the William F. Winter Archives and History Building 200 North Street in Jackson, Mississippi.
