Dr. Elizabeth Payne to explore Mississippi Women in Tupelo program this March 25

A special Women’s History Month program will be presented by Dr. Elizabeth Payne for the Northeast Mississippi Historical and Genealogical Society meeting.

The program is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Lee County Library located at 219 N. Madison in Tupelo, MS. 

Dr. Payne, a professor of history at the University of Mississippi, is co-editor of two volumes of women’s history: “Mississippi Women, Their Histories, Their Lives”.  She is author and/or editor of numerous historical articles.  

She will be reviewing Volume Two of the “Mississippi Women” recently published and released in February. 

The public is invited to attend.
