Baseball Exhibit at Columbus-Lowndes Public Library

The Columbus-Lowndes Public Library will display the baseball collection of Tony Poss this upcoming May through June.

The exhibit will include various baseball memorabilia such as signed baseballs, photographs, bats, books, World Series tickets and programs, signed jerseys, cards, caps, cleats, and much more.

Poss, Alderman for Ward 3 in Amory, began collecting for over forty years and became interested when he met Dizzy Dean in Wren, Mississippi where he grew up.

Poss went on to play little league and umpire for over 25 years. He said, “I really enjoy the older days in baseball. I have been honored to visit the homes of over 300 players in twenty-five years.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
