Starting January 1, 2012, the Local History Department will begin instituting new policies and fees for remote research requests.
REMOTE RESEARCH REQUESTS
Remote research requests may be made via email, telephone, letter, or fax. Some requests are more difficult than others and subsequently take longer to answer. Requests should be as precise as possible.
Fees include the following:
Research Time Fee (first hour free): $20.00 per hour after the first hour
Photocopies: (.25) cents per page
Microfilm photocopies: (.20) cents per page
Obituary request(s) with death date: $5.00
Obituary request(s) without death date: $10.00
Postage (minimum): $2.50
Postage (per 100 pages): $3.00
Large order handling charge (per 100 pages): $5.00
Researchers will receive an invoice indicating the total cost. Payment may include check, cashier’s check, or money order only. Payment must be received (check cleared) before photocopies will be mailed.
