Columbus-Lowndes Public Library wins Resolution of Commendation

The Lowndes County Court House along with the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library have received a Resolution of Commendation from the Mississippi Historical Society (MHS) for their efforts to preserve county records.

Each year the MHS gives several awards for various causes.

The Resoluction of Commendation recognizes the Court House for the wonderful changes in the Chancery and Circuit offices after the 2011 remodeling.  It also acknowledges the work of the Local History Department at the library to preserve county records.

Congratulations and keep up the good work!
