Sixty-two years ago this Week…

The Luxapalila River overflowed its banks this week in 1951.  The river crested at 31.6 feet.  In addition to flooding, temperaturs dipped to 36 degrees.  The above image captures a tractor and car braving a trip through the shallow spill running across Highway 82.
